چکیده
In this article, the wettability of a superhydrophobic layer from rubber-modified TiO2/SiO2 nanocomposite is studied. The nanocomposites were prepared with various ratios TiO2 and SiO2 nanoparticles (NPs) then studied effect annealing, UV irradiation aging after coating on substrate. Results show that average contact angle deionized water droplets most hydrophobic 129.5°, which increases up to 151.0° by irradiation. addition, lowest surface energy layers was measured as 29.61 mJ m–2. hydrophobicity investigated annealing (at temperatures 300°C), results maximum about 150°. dynamics rapid imaging, no hysteresis for wetting. Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy shows causes formation C–H functional groups without considerable change in hydrophobicity, while process has significant effects groups. morphology coatings scanning electron microscopy, reveal roughness surfaces due radiation. minimum increase coefficient estimated 73% initial value agreement atomic force microscopy results.

Contact angle hysteresis on superhydrophobic stripes.
We study experimentally and discuss quantitatively the contact angle hysteresis on striped superhydrophobic surfaces as a function of a solid fraction, ϕS. It is shown that the receding regime is determined by a longitudinal sliding motion of the deformed contact line. Despite an anisotropy of the texture the receding contact angle remains isotropic, i.e., is practically the same in the longitu...
متن کاملFabrication of Novel Superhydrophobic Surfaces and Water Droplet Bouncing Behavior — Part 1: Stable ZnO–PDMS Superhydrophobic Surface with Low Hysteresis Constructed Using ZnO Nanoparticles
A superhydrophobic surface has many advantages in micro/nanomechanical applications, such as low adhesion, low friction and high restitution coefficient, etc. In this paper, we introduce a novel and simple route to fabricate superhydrophobic surfaces using ZnO nanocrystals. First, tetrapod-like ZnO nanocrystals were prepared via a one-step, direct chemical vapor deposition (CVD) approach. The n...

Nanoparticles may be comprised of several kind materials being classified as nondegradable and biodegradable. Biodegradable systems have an advantage over nondegradable systems in that they are non-toxic, biotolerabl, biocompatible, biodegradable, and water-soluble. Among these systems, the role of natural polysaccharides in developing prepared nanoparticles has significantly increased (Zhang e...
متن کاملDroplet evaporation dynamics on a superhydrophobic surface with negligible hysteresis.
We report on experiments of droplet evaporation on a structured superhydrophobic surface that displays very high contact angle (CA ∼ 160 deg), and negligible contact angle hysteresis (<1 deg). The droplet evaporation is observed to occur in a constant-contact-angle mode, with contact radius shrinking for almost the entire duration of evaporation. Experiments conducted on Teflon-coated smooth su...
